Brandi and Joey booked us for partial planning, and we worked together for ten months to create their incredible wedding day! The couple is both originally from Statesboro, and they’d been together for 15 years. So, they decided to finally make it official and tie the knot in a Botanic Garden wedding on November 7, 2020!

Botanic Garden Wedding

The wedding took place at the Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. The Garden is such a gorgeous spot for weddings, and it has over eleven acres of gardens for couples to choose from. Their reception was on a lawn, and they had large tents adorned with café lights, vintage furniture, antique china, and velvet linens. To finish the look, they had hundreds of taper candles and some uplighting on the pecan trees. Overall, the look was so glamorous.

The theme was Elegant Autumn, so the bride chose fall colors for her Botanic Garden Wedding. The ladies all wore velvet gowns in various shades of gold, burgundy, and brown. It was one of our favorite color palettes of 2020! The couple loves velvet, so they took the chance to incorporate even more into their ceremony with a velvet draped ceremony arch with beautiful flowers. They lined the aisle with candles, and string instruments set the tone of their grand ceremony.

Personal Touches

Brandi and Joey really worked to make their wedding personal by incorporating details from their lives. This couple is the life of the party, so they wanted their wedding to have a band so they could dance all night. Emerald Empire Band is one of the best in the area, and they are always absolutely incredible. Guests raved about the band, and dancing went on late into the night.

For sweets, they had a three-tier wedding cake and a semi-truck groom cake since Joey owns a trucking company. Not to mention, there was a fabulous display of fifteen kinds of cheesecake. The bride loves cold brew coffee and peanut butter cookies, so that was what they gave out as favors.

The sweetest detail was that their 7-year old son Macon served as ring bearer, and his first look with his mom was just so sweet.

Brandi and Joey left the venue by way of bubbles before hitting some of the bars for an after-party of sorts. Their Botanic Garden wedding was beautiful, and it was great to see them so happy when it was over. We love helping couples put together their special day, so we’d love to help you too.
