A watercolor crest is one of those extra details that can add the perfect finishing touch to a wedding design. It is an elevated monogram that can begin a family tradition. The Bride and Groom participate in the design process which makes their wedding crest one of a kind. A crest can adorn the invitations, the napkins, the dance floor, or even a lighting effect. Your watercolor crest is your hallmark.

Choosing the right watercolor crest artist is the key to having a design that you will cherish forever. Swanson Signature Events would like to introduce you to Jessica of Simply Jessica Marie.

Meet the Watercolor Crest Artist

Young Jessica was invited to her art teacher’s home for many afternoons of drawing in the gorgeous garden. Not only did those days create precious memories for Jessica, they also began her love of beautiful art.

Jessica’s education in art includes college art classes as well as learning from other artists. Her most practical art education grew through working with friends who asked her to create special items just for them. Jessica started sharing her work on a blog, through Instagram, and in her own Etsy shop.

After college Jessica worked as an assistant for a wedding planner in Nashville, TN. At that time she started her adventure into watercolors. The experience with weddings and watercolors sparked her creativity, and she started watercolor wedding invitations. One of her clients asked for a crest, and watercolor crests were born!

Watercolor Crest Bar

Jessica spent much time creating each watercolor crest from scratch. She noticed that many clients chose the same florals and similar icons. Jessica spoke with a photographer who suggested saving a library of her painted icons and florals. Then the clients could choose the icons, florals, and lettering that fit their style. This sparked the Simply Jessica Marie Crest Bar!

Now Simply Jessica Marie (SJM) has a library of more than 200 icons, three alphabet styles, and beautiful floral border options. If you don’t see something you want, Jessica can create it for you! Choosing from the many gorgeous selections is the hard part, completing the order questionnaire is easy. After ordering, you can have your crest within a month.

Wedding Watercolor Crests

Your wedding is all about you; why not give it a signature? The options are endless. Jessica’s watercolor crests have been used for pillows, bar wraps, can huggers, cocktail napkins, pocket squares, thank you notes, and of course your invitation suite.

One of Jessica’s clients branded coconuts with their custom crest and used them as escort cards. Another had custom napkins embroidered with the watercolor crest for each place setting. Still others have used their watercolor crest on bar wrap decals and dance floor wrap decals. A special couple engraved their watercolor crest onto mini flasks that became their wedding favors. Then after the wedding, the crest becomes a keepsake! Creativity is a plus!
